Latest video insight talks supporting those that harm in relationships

The third instalment of a series of insights videos from My CWA sees Deputy CEO Beverley Wrighton speak with Kenny, a person who has benefitted from the support the South Cheshire based charity offers those adults who harm.

In the video Kenny opens up about how he and his partner did not realise that they were in an abusive relationship before getting the support from the course that they attended with My CWA.

Kenny explains that the help on offer, or so he thought, was not the help he felt he needed. He explains that he realised that being open and honest is the key to getting the benefit of the support he received.

Before the support he got from MY CWA, Kenny explains that the barrier to entry for him was the size of the support classes. The classes held by My CWA were smaller so he felt that these were more accessible and he felt less vulnerable being a part of them.

The ACE’s project was the one that made Kenny realised he needed to change. Following all the support and tools given, Kenny explains to Bev that he feels like he has really made the change he needed to.

Kenny shares his story and his hopes for the future here.

Over the coming weeks we will be sharing more video insights to help families across our region.
