Healthy House Activity
You can download the worksheet here.
The Healthy House Activity by MyCWA is a structured reflection exercise designed to help individuals think about what they want to see in a healthy relationship.
The activity uses the image of a house as a metaphor for a relationship. Each part of the house represents key elements that support strong, respectful, and safe relationships — for example trust, communication, respect, boundaries, shared values, and emotional support. By completing the house, participants identify what is important to them and what they want to build or maintain in their relationships.
Participants are usually given a worksheet with a house outline to complete. If a printed copy is not available, the activity can be done by drawing a simple blank house in a journal or notebook and writing ideas inside it.
The purpose of the activity is to:
Encourage reflection on personal relationship values
Help people define what a healthy relationship looks like for them
Support conversations about expectations in relationships
Increase self-awareness and understanding of relationship needs
Overall, the activity is a simple but effective tool to support personal development and relationship education.
